One mystifying and baffling subject that people dread discussing is of a ghost. There are so many terrifying stories associated with ghosts that we usually shun this kind of topic. Ghosts are the spirits of the deceased people that for some reason are ‘stuck’ between this plane of existence and the next. But for what? And how? I get asked this a lot on tour so here is my take of some of the possible reasons.…To start with, an earthbound spirit is a soul that does not pass to the other realm in peace after death. They stay behind, here on earth, and hence are responsible for the various ghost sightings and haunted places.

They dont know yet !

Many people think that some spirits don’t know that they are dead. Believe it or not, there are spirits wandering out there who aren’t clear on the fact that they’ve died. It hasn’t really dawned on them or they are just not aware and often need help crossing over.

The mind is a very powerful tool. If someone who is extremely committed to living dies all of a sudden, it could take days or even weeks for them to get the clue. They end up haunting their familiar places, trying to get the attention of the living and wondering why you can’t hear them.

Unfinished Business.

Some spirits will hang about if they have unfinished business. It may be to make sure their loved ones or finances are ok or to pass along one final message. Normally these earthbound spirits don’t hang around for long and leave once their business is complete.

Afraid.

Sometimes a spirit becomes conscious of the fact that he or she has died but is also aware that life continues beyond that. They do not go to the light for reason such as the fear of being judged for their past life.

These spirits are bound here because of their own fear.

Angry or bitter.

If while dying a person is filled with angry emotions, resentments or they cling on to negative feelings against other people, they may be trapped here or choose to stay to reek revenge.

Because we won’t let them go.

Sadly the living can also hold a spirit here by not letting go of them.  They can be bound here by our eternal love and unwilling or unable to go until the living can come to terms with the loss .But don’t worry..even after our loved ones have crossed over, they will still visit to let us know they are ok and aware of what is going on in our lives. They are always with us..<3
